MELBOURNE, February 17. The English fast bowlers, J. B. Statham and -P. J. Loader, who were involved in a ear accident recently, have been declared, unfit to bowl for a month and will not go on the New Zealand tour. T. E. Bailey, another of the M.C.C.’s fast bowlers, who was to have flown this week-end with the wicket-keeper, T. G. Evans and the spinner. J. C. Laker, has been told it would be inadvisable for him to bowl for a month because of a back injury. The M.C.C. nAnager (Mr F. R. Brown) said tonight: "We have approached Laker with a request to go to New Zealand but he said he is hot fit.
