“More Germans Wanted” (Rec. 9.30 p.m.) BONN, Feb. 14. New Zealand wants more tourists from West Germany, according to the New Zealand Travel Commissioner in London (Mr J. EHartstonge). He said at a reception in Frankfurt tha* he had established contact with West German travel agencies in Hamburg and Frankfurt because interest in distant countries like New Zealand for holidays was steadily increasing. “West Germans should know that they are very welcome in New Zealand. New Zealand is ideal for every type of holiday.” Mr Hartstonge said. He said New Zealand offered cheap holidays, in comparison to other countries. Good hotels cost the equivalent of 60 marks a day. with full board. Like the Germans, New Zealanders liked good beer, and drank it in great quantities.

He said the distance was no longer important, because New Zealand could be reached by air in two days. Q
