THREE CARS IN ACCIDENT

One Driver Suffers Head Injuries Three cars were involved in > collision at the corner of Riccarton and Hagley avenues, near the Christchurch Public Hospital, about 6.20 p.m. on Saturday. \ The driver of one car « Dawson Cunningham, of 196 Strickland street, Spreydon. suffered head injuries and concussion. He was admitted to hospital and. his condition was reported last evening as satisfactory. The driver of the second car, Douglas Leigh Mathew Worner, of 58 Cobham street, Spreydon, was treated at the casualty department and sent home. The driver of the third car, which was stationary at the time of the accident, Herbert William Leigh, of 85 Simeon street, Spreydon, was not injured. The car driven by Mr Cunningham was fairly badly damaged and so was the front section of the one driven by Mr Worner.

Motor-Cyclist Injured

Terrence Stephen Francis Fahey, of 152 Idris road, Bryndwr, was injured when his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a car at the corner of Idris and Wairakei roads about 6JO p.m. on Saturday. He was token by St. John ambulance to the Christchurch Public Hospital and admitted. His condition was reported last everting as satisfactory.
