Border-Corriedale Cross

From time to time there have been reports op this page of the performance of the Border-Leicester-Corriedale cross sheep at Canterbury' Agricultural College, Lincoln, and more recently of the Border Leicester-Romney cross. Now there has this week come to hand word of the practical experience of a Woodend farmer, Mr G. R. Macdonald, with the Border Lejcester-Corriedale. At eight-months-old sheep of this breeding were mated with a Southdown ram on Mr Macdonald’s property. They dropped 60 per cent, of lambs which all went fat off the mothers last month at 331 b and were of first quality. These same sheep each clipped 141 b of wool.
