CLOVER UNDER IRRIGATION.—A good stand of red elover being mown on one of the Lands and Survey Department’s properties in the Valetta .Farm Settlement Scheme. The land on which the crop is growing has been Improved from its former low production state by cultivation and the construction of border dikes to permit controlled irrigation. Several thousand acres are Ineluded in the scheme, and- will be made into useful farmland.
