Lore and Kisses. 1 the task does not Iqok too formidable for her. The consistent Donna Bella will probably be one of Bella Paola’s strongest opponents. She was a creditable fourth in a fast-run Wellington Stakes last week. The Hastings-trained Sol d’Or is expected to be the best’of the light-weights, and might well run out the last furlong too well tor most it not all those in the top part of the handicap. He was carried wide by Top Liner coming to the straight in, the Nursery Handicap on Monday and did well to get up for second. He started in that race bn an interrupted programme, and could go even better on Saturday. Sage is a last-start winner in this field. He was successful at Hastings on January 2 and his record is now two wins and a second in three starts. He is by Sabaean from Oratory and is trained at Awapuni by E Temperton for Sir Thomas Duncan.
