BREVET CLUB AIR SHOW
Seven R.N.Z.A.F. Planes Seven service aircraft, including two jet fighters, would take part in the Canterbury Brevet Club air display to be held at Christchurch airport on Sunday afternoon, the Royal New Zealand Air Force announced yesterday. The planes will be a twinengined Devon transport, four Harvards and two Vampires. With the exception of the Vampires, which will fly south from Ohakea specially for the display, the planes will be from Wigram The Vampire jets are due at Harewood from Ohakea at 12.10 p.m. on Sunday. One flown by Flying Officer E. P. Carr will remain on the ground for static display. The other fighter, piloted by Flying Officer T. E. Enright, will give flying demonstrations and will be used to perform aerobatics during the afternoon. The two planes are due to leave Harewood to return to Ohakea at 3.45 p.m. The Devon and one of the Harvards from Wigram will also be a static display. The three other Harvards will b the Wigram aerobatic flight which has been preparing for the air pageant being held as part of the Timaru centennial celebrations on January 31.
