Plane Arrives At Copenhagen
COPENHAGEN, Jan. 22. The Soviet First Deputy Premier (Mr Mikoyan), flying home from his visit to the United States, reached Copenhagen in a Scandinavian Airlines aeroplane from Newfoundland early today, . and drove straight to the Soviet Embassy without 1 making any statement to the crowd of journalists who were at Kastrup Airport. He had stayed overnight at the United States Naval air base at Argentia, Newfoundland, when another Scandinavian Airlines plane in which he had left New York on Tuesday made an emergency landing after one of its engines caught fire, , A relief plane was then sent from Copenhagen to Argentia to 1 pick up Mr Mikoyan, his en- ’ tourage and other passengers. There was a large body of police at the airport this morning to keep order when Mr Mikoyan arrived, but they had no incidents to deal with. Mr Mikoyan looked very tired as he left the plane and went straight to his car. He is expected to spend the whole of \ today tn Copenhagen where he has an engagement this evening to speak to the Association for Co-operation between Denmark and the Soviet Union. A Russian jet airliner is expected in Copenhagen this morning from Moscow, but the Russian leader is .not expected to leave in it until Friday morning.
