Junior Half-Mile Record Broken

(New Zealand Press Association) HASTINGS, January 15. High standards of skating were maintained when the New Zealand roller-skating championships were continued in Hastings today. The promoters have now made up time lost through two days of bad weather at the beginning of the week. '

A new national record was established tonight in the junior boys’ half-mile speed event. Paul Snaddon (Napier) clipped four seconds off his own previous time of 2min Bsec.

Attendances at all sessions today were large. Tonight about 1000 attended.
