COMMERCIAL Trading Year Starts On Quiet Note

Trading was very quiet on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday, when business opened for the year. Only four parcels of shares changed hands, totalling 3145.

New Zealand Insurance were 3d firmer than in most recent local trading, when a parcel of 150 sold at 71s 3d. At 465, a parcel of 250 New Zealand Refrigerating was unchanged. Standard Insurance
