Street Name Boards
Sir,—l read with interest M.T.*s cry in the wilderness about the absence or illegibility of street name boards. I suggest, with the utmost respect for the powers that be, that if he wants anything done about the matter he had better take out his pot of paint, a goodly supply of wood, and make a tour of the offending streets. And the best of luck! In 1970 or whenever the job is finished (whichever happens first) then he can head out with hot bitumen for the potholes of which Christchurch has some prime specimens.—Yours, etc., BARBA ROSSA.
