SCOUTS RETURN HOME

Overseas Visitors Tour N.Z.

(New Zealand Press Associdtion) AUCKLAND, January ' 12. About 3630 scouts who attended the 1959 Pan-Pacific Jamboree left Auckland today to return to their homes. Most of the overseas scouts are now touring New Zealand, but some 75 Australians who arrived early spent tonight under canvas before their return to Australia tomorrow. This group toured the country before the jamboree.

In the last two days the Railways Department has provided" 17 special trains to take scouts home

The gate takings for the jamboree were £3866. A bank official said there was a turnover of about £76.000 at the camp bank, run by the National Bank of New Zealand. Pocket money alone amounted to about £30,000.
