AUSTRALIANS’ VISIT
G. Fleming Replaces T. Sullivan
(New Zealand Press Association) DUNEDIN, January 11. G. Fleming, the Victorian 4min 10 sec miler and Imin 54sec half-miler, will now accompany Brian Waters, the Sydney 9.ssec sprinter, on a tour of the South Island, which will open with an appearance in Christchurch next Saturday. Fleming will replace T. Sullivan, who through injury was forced to retire from the tour.
Fleming and Waters will arrive in Christchurch by air on Wednesday and compete there on Saturday. January 17. They will also appear at Oamaru on Tuesday, January 20. at Alexandra on Thursday. January 22, at Invercargill on Saturday, January 25. and at the Dunedin Festival athletic meeting on Carisbrook on Monday, 2B.
