AUSTRALIAN SHOW JUMPING TEAM
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, January 11. A last-minute alteration has been made to the eight-member Australian show jumping team which will arrive in Wellington on the Monowai on Tuesday, to compete in show events here. Mr Max Gooch will replace Mr Kevin Bacon. Mr Gooch will bring with him his horse Royal, a consistent performer which has won speed and height events in Australia. Mr Bert Jacob, who rode for Australia in the equestrian Olympics in Stockholm, will captain the team —the first of its kind to come to New Zealand.
