Aid To Colonies Planned
LONDON, December 31
The Colonial Secretary (Mr Alan Lennox-Boyd) said last night that a new aid-to-colonies bill to be introduced in Parliament in the New Year would include provisions for Exchequer loans towards colonial development programmes. In his annual New Year’s broadcast to overseas territories he said this would greatly assist the task of raising capital for much needed development.
