Accrediting

Sir, —“Parent” is quite mistaken in attributing to me the imposition of an quota, and “Father of Seven” is correct in inferring that I have neither the power ntr the inclination to do so. In tjbe 15 years since accrediting was (introduced I have never imposed nor proposed an accrediting fipota. Nor has'the senate of theluniversity. to whom such power', alone can belong, imposed such a quota or empowered me to do iso.—Yours, etc., GORDON TROUP, Liaison Officer, University of Canterbury December 31, 1958.
