Herd-Testing Scheme Supported Unanimous support for the Government’s recently - announced scheme for testing factory supply herds for tuberculosis was given at a meeting of the North Canterbury Jersey Cattle Club It was also decided that the club should endeavour to interest local farmers in having their herds tested under the scheme.

A field day will be held by the club on the farm of Mr W. J. Russell at Leithfield early in March. This day will coincide with the visit of the New Zealand club’s secretary (Mr G. Da wick). The day will conclude with a film evening at which Mr Dawick will show films of his recent world tour, including his visit to South Africa for the world conference ot Jmq
