Cerebral Palsy
Sir, —Christchurch has always been in the van in its care of the less fortunate. But one group, the adult cerebral palsy victims, quite often of normal and above intelligence, through their physical disadvantages, require the company and interest gained from other similar cases. The future, too, is of great concern to their devoted and ageing parents Surely it would be deplorable and unnecessary for these folk eventually to be incarcerated in a mental hospital for lack of a suitable and protective home in our welfare state.—Yours, etc.. A MOTHER. December 19, 1958.
