BALLOT FOR SECTIONS
Subdivision In Spreydon Sixty-two building sections in Droitwich street, a new street which runs from Barrington street to Lyttelton street, Spreydon, were offered by ballot by the Lands and Survey Department in Christchurch, yesterday. Only 26 of the sections were taken. The sections ranged in size from 24 perches to 37 perches and in price from £450 to £940. The first section out of the box was the dearest—£94o, 31 perches —and it was Mr A. E. Pickering’s first choice. The cheapest section —£4so, 36 perches—was allotted to Mr G. Unwin. Other successful applicants were: —Misses .B. F, Beddington, B, M. Lecomte and V. A. Garty and Messrs F. E. Dennis, A. L. Smithers, W. I. Morgan, A. L. Ross, R. G. Cairns, L. M. Wallis, A. J. Ny, R. J. Taylor, A. W. Cribb; I. D. Ayres, B. J. O’Connor, R. J. Watkin, A. W. Little, R. Orr, D. A. Haydon, J. C, S. Pasley, C. Dalrymple, D. K. Whitlow, G. S. Hamilton, M. Orange and,D. G. Huston.
