Obituary MR W. J. McBREEN

"The Press" Special Service WHANGAREI, December 9. Mr William James Mcßreen, principal of one of the largest earth-moving contracting firms in New Zealand, has died at Whangarei. Mr Mcßreen was born hi Hokianga and spent most of his life in Northland. He established a contracting business more than 20 years ago and has taken a prominent part in the New Zealand Associated and General Contractors’ Association.

In the Second World War, Mr Mcßreen served overseas with the mechanical equipment company and was mentioned in dispatches. A keen fisherman, Mr Mcßreen owned one of the largest pleasure launches in the country. He is survived by his wife and a young son.
