“ONEUPMANSHIP” FOR MR SKINNER
London-New Zealand Cricket Dinner
(Special Correspondent N.Z.P.A.) LONDON, November 30. An autographed copy of “Oneupmanship,” by Stephen Potter, was presented to the Deputy Prime Minister (Mr Skinner) by Mr E. R. T. Holmes, president of the London-New Zealand Cricket Club, at its annual dinner at the Oval. Mr Potter was guest of honour and the club made four presentations of signed copies of his books. Mr Skinner was invited by Mr Holmes to take “Supermanship” back with him to New Zealand to present to the GovernorGeneral (Lord Cobham), “Lifemanship” was presented to Mr T. L. Macdonald, former Minister of External Affairs, who with Mr Skinner became a club member last night, and “Gamesmanship” was presented to Mr A. T. Campbell, the club’s honorary secre-
tary. At the invitation of Commander B. O. Babb, secretary to the Surrey County Cricket Club, Sir Arthur Sims was elected the club’s first life member.
