<Rec. 9 p.m.) LOS ANGELES. Dec. 1. Four earthquakes rocked southern California last night. One caused extensive damage in Calemexico, on the Mexican border. Three of the tremors were believed centred near the border. The fourth, a less serious jolt, was felt in Los Angeles. In Pasadena, on the edge of Los Angeles, Dr. Charles Richter, seismologist of the California Institute of Technology, reported that the main shock measured 5.4 on a scale of 10.
