Five Royal New Zealand Air Force Sunderland flying-boats left the station at Lauthala Bay, Fiji, for Auckland early this morning when an intense hurricane was reported 230 miles north-west of the island, moving south-south-west. The aircraft are expected at Hobsonville station at 3 a.m. tomorrow.
