Sydney veterinary surgeons are seeking permission to send samples of the blood of the champion racehorse Tulloch to i the United States for special | analysis. Tulloch has been ill with a virus infection for some) time. The Veterinary Science School 'of New South Wales, Sydney, University, and private veterin-) Sarians now are all interested in; !the Tulloch case. There are hopes that the United States, where there has been an outbreak of similar virus in- ! fection. might produce a cure. , A great deal of work on the 'complaint has been carried out lat the Institute of Pathology in I Lexington, Kentucky. ’ Approval must be obtained from both countries before the blood of ' an infected horse can be sent to the United States. The Randwick trainer. Stan i Lamond. is among several racing j {authorities who believe time will {cure Tulloch. j Two years ago. the promising. •Sydney galloper. Bronze Mac. I trained by Lamond. had the same intestinal complaint as Tulloch. i Recovery was slow, but Bronze {Mac is back in training and has •scored three wins in succession.
