Publican Fined £75

WELLINGTON. November 26. Wilfred Fenton, licensee of the Provincial Hotel, Upper Hutt, was today fined £75 by Mr J. R. Drummond, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court at Upper Hutt when he pleaded guilty, through Mr L. F. Beck, to a charge of having sold 84OZ of beer for 9d on July 15.
The Magistrate said the form of unlawful action had been regarded seriously by all the Courts and the defendant would be treated in the same way as all of the others.
