WHITE CABS FOR WEDDINGS

Florists’ Application Granted (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 26. Auckland brides will be able to have white cars for their weddings as a result of a decision today by the No. 2 Transport Licensing Authority (Brigadier R. S. Park). Brigadier Park granted permission for Hope Dulihanty, Ltd., a firm of city florists, to operate three identical white cars for wedding parties within a 20-mile radius of the Auckland chief post office.

When the application for the licence was heard on November 4, it was opposed by the Auckland Co-operative Taxi Society, the New Zealand Taxi Proprietors’ Federation, and other local taxiO’vners.
