Publican Fined £20

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. November 25. Charles Edwards Robins, licensee of the Dominion Hotel. Tory street, was fined £2O by Mr M. B. Scully. S.M., today in a reserved decision after being convicted . last Friday of shortpouring beer. Robins served two inspectors of the price control division with less than eight and a half ounces of beer when they had not specifically asked for less. The Magistrate said that, after hearing Robins give evidence, he was satisfied defendant had made a genuine effort to comply with the regulations and had been a little unfortunate that the glasses poured for the two price control division inspectors were not properly filled.
