Dalton To Rest From Cycling
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, November 24. The Empire and Olympic Games rider, W. Dalton, U’ill be taking a rest from cycling on the advice of a Sydney doctor. On Saturday he and the other Auckland cyclist, R. D. Johnston, came second in a six-day race in Sydney. Before and during the race Dalton and Johnstone were given physiological tests,, together with the other cyclists, to gauge their stamina. Both the Aucklanders passed the tests satisfactorily, but Dalton was advised that he might be wise to take a spell from the sport, and he agreed with the verdict.
