Diamond Harbour

Sir, —I would like to add my complaint to that of “Visitor” regarding the filthy condition of the dressing sheds at Diamond Harbour. The stench from both the sheds is offensive in the extreme. What a pity that such a desirable seaside resort should be allowed to get into such a deplorable condition. It is time for fewer promises and a bit more action from the Lyttelton Borough Council. It is a pity the District Health Officer cannot take more positive action in cases such as this.—Yours, etc., DISGUSTED. November 24. 1958.
