' A 19-year-old University ol Canterbury student. Dmitri Zotov. has been awarded a Roya! Air Force cadetship at Cranwell He is the son of Russian-born Mi V. D. Zotov, who came to New Zealand nearly 40 years ago. Mr Zotov was educated at Wellington College. Rongotai College.
and completed his secondary education with two years at the. Christchurch Boys’ High School j He has not served in the regular o! territorial air force. While at Christchurch Boys’ High School last year, he won the New Zealand scholarship to! tram at the Royal Australian Air Force College at Point Cook, but (this was cancelled when the Gov-' eminent decided not to make the award. He has been studying pure: mathematics, physics and chemistry at the University of Can-! terbury this year, and intends to, continue his university studies in the United Kingdom. Mr Zotov will leave for Britain in the Athenic on November! 28. j
