Table Tennis Coaching
THE New Zealand Table Tennis A Association intends to hold two coaching schools in May next year for 24 junior boy and girl players. One of the schools will be at Hamilton, and the other will be at Palmerston North. The schools will be held during the May term holidays. Twelve boys will go to Palmerston North in the first week and the 12 girls i will go to Hamilton in the second I week. Various associations will I be asked to nominate players in order of merit, but the final choice will be made by the New Zea-' land executive.
Those who were within the junior limit at the last national championships will be eligible. ! and the New Zealand association will pay the minimum expenses of the entrants. The players judged most meritorious after the course will receive £5 towards their expenses at the New Zealand championships.
The Waikato and Manawatu associations will be asked to billet the juniors, and an invitation will be given to leading players to
attend one or more days of the course.
The nature of the coaching and the type of competition has yet to be decided for the schools, but they will both be under the control of members of the New Zealand executive.
