The successful applicant will be expected to take part in research in radio propagation and communications under the sponsorship of the Radio Research Board. He will also be expected to undertake a limited amount of teaching of senior students. An honours degree in Physics or Engineering is required, together with some experience in radio research. The appointment in the first place, will be for a period of three years, but it is not intended that the programme of research should be limited to that period, which may be extended if warranted by conditions at the time. The salary will be in the range £2OOO-£2500 ( Australian 1 per annum, depending on the qualifications of the successful applicant.
