FENCER DIES OF THIRST
Wandered In The Desert (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) SYDNEY. November 18. While a search party was looking for him. a fencing contractor, who had wandered in circles for three days in blazing heat, died of thirst-in desert country about 40 miles from Menindie in western New South Wales. He spent his last few hours crawling on hands and knees in circles in a temperature of more than lOOdcg, while his dog stood guard at his utility truck. The contractor was Raymond Henry Pearson, aged 42, father of three children, who lived and worked on Blackgate Station.
