Pairaudcau’s Future Uncertain

A few minutes after he arrived in Auckland by Pan American airliner today, B. H. Pairaudeau, the West Indies test batsman, was not sure whether he would be living in Hamilton and thus be eligible to play for Northern Districts or whether he would be going to Christchurch to qualify for Canterbury. The Northern -Districts Association chairman (Mr K. L. Sandford) announced in Hamilton
some months ago that Pairaudeau would be living there. Since then, however, and before he left his native British Guiana, Pairaudeau was approached by the St. Albans Club, of Christchurch, which already has S. C. Guillen, the West Indies and New Zealand representative. Pairaudeau was met at Whenuapai by a member of the Northern Districts Association and loft soon after for Hamilton. CENTRAL DISTRICTS’ TRIAL TEAMS f-’res.s Association/ PALMERSTON NORTH. Nov. 18 The teams to take part in a three-day cricket trial in Palmerston North on November 27, 28 and 29 were announced tonight by the secretary of the Central Districts Cricket Association (Mr E. H. Perry). The teams are: Eastern: H. B. Cave (captain’. G. Rose. N. S. Harford. I. Colquhoun, P. Cootes. R. Small. R Donovan. R. Young. G. Bartlett. P. O'Byrne, J. Whitelock and D. Park. Western: D. D. Beard (captain), D. Armstrong. G. Lowans. P. Newman. T. Newman. P. Bloomfield. P. Dravitski, K. F. H. Smith. L. Totty. W. Goodall, J. Clarke, and S. James.
