WOMEN'S ARMY CORPS

Summer Dress Issue

A new summer dress is being issued this year to members of the New Zealand Women’s Royal Army Corps. The frock, of green light-weight material, has horizontal pleats across the bodice, finished with gilt buttons of the corps design—a tui surmounted by a crown—and the stitched belt is fastened with a gilt buckle. During working hours and in camp the frock will be worn with a green beret and regulation black shoes. For walking out on leave members of the corps will wear a green peaked forage cap, and black court shoes when desired. A black handbag and gloves will complete the uniform. A new greatcoat of Melton cloth with the corps gilt buttons will also be issued shortly.
