Situation: An anti-cyclone centred over the western Tasman Sea is advancing slowly north-eastwards and a southwesterly airstream covers New Zealand. Forecast:— Marlborough and Nelson: Moderate northerlies or westerlies; weather fine, with moderate day temperatures. Outlook: fair. West Coast: Light to moderate westerly winds: cloud increasing during the day, with occasional showers developing, more especially in the south, temperatures cool. Outlook: some showers. Canterbury: Light to moderate variable winds; fair to fine; moderate to mild day temperatures. Outlook: fair.
