Board Members Resign <Rec. 11.30 p.m.) LITTLE ROCK, Nov. 12. Five of the six members of the integration-harassed Little Rock School Board resigned tonight. The move had been expected since Monday when the Eighth United States Circuit Court of Appeals in St. Louis ordered the board to take affirmative action to achieve integration. Arkansas) for his Fifth District Congressional seat as a write-in candidate in the November 4 election. Dr. Alford has been an outspoken segregationist. LOVE MATCH (Rec. 11 p.m.) TERAMO (Italy). November 13. Two gallant young men fought a duel for the same woman for three hours yesterday—with knives and forks. Nicola di Attista won—by one steak. Both contestants had each already eaten: three plates of spaghetti, a roast chicken, 20 sausages, 10 eggs in sauce, 16 steaks and half a large cream cake. When the eating duel was over, the lady, a pretty young schoolteacher, she had never agreed to marry the winner. “All this proves is that one of you is almost as greedy as the other,” she said.
