Germany’s Champion Beer Drinkers.— Tlie people of Bavaria, well-known for its beer collars, drink more than double th? amount of beer consumed in the rest of West Germany, according to the Bavarian Brewing Federation. In the brewing year I which has just ended. Bavarians drank about 35 gallons of beer a head. But they still drink less than their pre-war average—about 40 gallons a head.—Reuter.
