Lord Alexander In Hospital

'Rec. 8 p.m.) OTTAWA, Nov. 2. Field-Marshal Earl Alexander was slowly regaining his strength in hospital in Ottawa after a heart attack a week ago, hospital officials said today.

The hospital said that Lord Alexander, now aged 66, showed the same gradual improvement he had shown since entering hospital on October 27. Lord Alexander, Canada’s Gov-ernor-General from 1946 to 1952. was in Ottawa for an EnglishSpeaking Union conference.
