CENTENNIAL AT NELSON
Ministerial Party Visiting City “The Press” Special Service NELSON, September 25. The Deputy-Prime Minister (Mr Skinner), two Ministers, Messrs P. G. - Connolly and W. A. Fox, and the Leader of the Opposition (Mr Holyoake) will visit Nelson during the week-end to attend city Centennial celebrations. Mr Holyoake will go to Motueka on Saturday with Nelson Diocesan clergy and synodsmen. During the day a lych gate and hall at the Maori church in Motueka will be dedicated. A hangi will follow. Mr Skinner, Mr Connolly, Mr Fox and Mr Holyoake and their wives will attend the Diocesan Centennial thanksgiving service in the Nelson Cathedral on Sunday morning. His Excellency, the Governor-General (Lord Cobham) will read one of the lessons.
