PEST CONTROL.—Wearing protective clothing and a respirator, a field worker at the Crop Research Division, Lincoln, sprays a stand of chou moellier to control aphids. The equipment being used is an atomising spray pump with a small petrol motor mounted on a pack frame and the fine mist of pesticide at pressure gives a complete dispersal on all surfaces of the plant.
