Boarders
Sir,—Some people who let rooms and take boarders should not do so, as they do not know how to look after them. Some women today are very untidy and lazy. In both the above cases, one is expected to clean the room arid make the bed, as well as supply towel and soap, etc. I know of a case where there are two very elderly men boarders, who should be in a home. The rood at this place is very poor. It is left overnight exposed to dust, cats, and rodents. The inside is dirty and. is in a disgraceful state. It’s time our health inspectors paid a visit to these dirty old places. Many persons would be willing to give the address of these places, but they are afraid of being implicated in the case.—Yours, etc., KNOWLEDGE. September 23, 1958.
