Parliament’s Business
Sir,—The absurd situation the Prime Minister (Mr Nash) has got himself into would be a good theme for a comedy if it were not so serious. He used every means to push legislation through at a rate and under conditions which were not fair to ask any body of men to work under. The reason for all this work was to allow him to get the limelight at the United Nations. Now, having created ajl this confusion and bitter resentment both in Parliament and in the country, he (in effect) says it was all unnecessary as he is not going to leave just at the present moment. What a farcical position we get into when one man can bring about such a situation where legislation affecting the future of every man, woman and child is forced through without proper consideration to suit his whim.— Yours, etc., PROTEST.
