MINOR FIRES
Fire Brigade units attended three chimney fires and one oven fire in Christchurch yesterday. No damage was done by any of them. The first call td a chimney fire was at 4.27 p.m. to a house occupied by Mrs I. Saunders, at 30 Guild-street. It was attended by a unit from St. Albans. Another chimney fire occurred in a house occupied by Mr R. O. Douglas, at 17 Sullivan avenue. A Woolston unit attended at 4.27 p.m; The third was at 7.04 p.m. in a house occupied by Mrs S. Hales, at 4 Oxford terrace, and was attended by a unit from the Central Fire Station.
A unit from the Central station attended an oven fire in a house occupied by Mr E. W. Farrier, at 793 Colombo street at 7.31 pjn.
