STATE WORKERS’ WAGES
More Discussions With Mr Nash (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, September 24. Representatives of the State service organisations have had discussions this week with the Prime Minister (Mr Nash) on their request for a wage increase based on the ruling rates survey in outside industry made earlier this year. Mr J. Turnbull, secretary of the combined committee, said today that the service organisations were now waiting for a letter from the Prime Minister. He could not indicate the outcome Of the discussions.
