SHOW JUMPING AT YALDHURST
The second annual show 7 jumping day was held in fine weather by the Belfast branch of the Christchurch Pony Club, at the Yaldhurst grounds recently. The show attracted the best of Canterbury's jumping horses, which included Landrover, of Mr E. Upritchard, which won the open jump, and the A. R. Mac Kay Rose Bowl for the second year running.
Results were:— •„ Maiden pony (13.2 hands, rider under 12): Helen Johns’ Crackers 1, lan Rogers 2, Barbara Gillard's London Pride 3.
Maiden pony (under 14.2 hands): Barry McKinley's Penny Royal 1, Jill Cooke’s Beau Gest 2, Carol Frizzell’s Fleeta 3.
Maiden horse: R. Parsons’ Hermit 1, Ellen Morton’s Pedro 2, T. Johns’ Kildevon and E. G. O. Rutherford’s Barkis (equal) 3. Open Pony, table A (International Harvester trophy): Neroli Morton’s Sarsi 1, Jill Cooke’s Beau Gest 2. Billy Richards’ Phoebe 3. 1 Open horse, table A (A. R. MacKay' Rose Bowl): E. Upritchard's Landrover 1, Ellen Morton’s Pedro. E. G. O. Rutherford’s Radar, T. Johns' Kildevon and B. G. Rutherford’s Bomber (equal) 2.
