CAULFIELD CUP
100 Horses Left In Field (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) MELBOURNE, September 23. One hundred horses were left in the Caulfield Cup when first acceptances closed today. The race, to be run ovet one and a half miles on October 18, is worth £12,000 with the £350 cup. Top weights in the acceptances were:—
Prince Darius (N.Z. bred) 9-5; Caranna 9-3; Lord Gavin 9-2; Monte Carlo (N.Z. bred) 9-1; Red Eagle (N.Z.) 8-13; Baysftone 8-9; High Fire 8-9; Rhythmonic (N.Z.) 8-9; Teaka (N.Z.) 8-9: Tuki 8-9; Pandie Sun 8-8. Young Idealist (N.Z. bred) 8-7; Newstone 8-6; Quitos 8-5; Macdougal 8-4; Parvo 8-4; Summalu (N.Z. bred) 8-4; Chief Wongo 8-3; Dawdle 8-2; Droll Prince 8-2; Magic Nib (N.Z. bred) 8-2; Wool Man (N.Z. bred) 8-1; Gay Satin 8-0; Kosciusko 8-0; Wales (N.Z. bred) 8-0
