Forecast:— Canterbury: Light easterly to south-easterly winds predominating; weather fair to cloudy inland with moderate to mild day temperatures; skies becoming mainly cloudy near the coast; with areas of fog and drizzle developing and cool temperatures. Outlook: fair to cloudy. Marlborough and Nelson: Light to moderate winds from a southerly quarter; weather mainly fair to fine, apart from some cloudy areas about Cook Strait and coastal Marlborough at first; mild day temperatures.
