State House Rentals

Sir,—l am not entering a wrangle with “Radar” as to when, how or where Mr Nash said that the Labour Party would have to raise State house rentals. Say it he did and it was published in the papers. I am, however, going to take “Radar” to task for carefully evading the points I made First, the National Party decided to raise these rents a year or two ago and much more drastically than the Labour Party have actually done. Second, the Labour Party had to meet a situation created in most part by the National Party when in power. The worst aspect of the situation is that National supporters are blinking the facts so that they can go on belabouring the Labour Party.—Yours, etc., September 19, 1958.
