R.S.A. Petition Hearing
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 30. It is unlikely that the R.S.A. petition to Parliament on the abolishing of compulsory military training will be heard this session. At today’s Homeservicemen’s conference the Prime Minister (Mr Nash) told the Returned Services’ Association representative (Mr C. Tustin) that he doubted if there would be time to hear the petition this session. Presented yesterday, the petition caUed for a retention of CJH.T. till the defence White Paper was in being and proved satisfactory."
